Strategize Your Social Content Schedule
You want to decide how often you need to post ahead of time. Visibility is very powerful, though if your brand is posting more than 20 times a day, your followers will likely become annoyed. There is no golden rule for how often one should post, as it comes down to the platform, the content, and the industry. However, most platforms have a sweet spot that hovers around two posts per day. We recommend starting there and seeing how everything goes. As for the time of day, there aren't any golden rules there either. Generally, engagement is highest between 11 a.m and 5 p.m. on weekdays, as well as later in the afternoon on Sundays. You also want to shoot for consistency. If you post twice a day, make sure to post once in the morning and once in the evening. You must also post weekly. Don't get a bunch of posts in one week and then go silent the next week. You can use tools like Hootsuite or CoSchedule to help you stick to a schedule.
Once you have done all of the necessary work to establish your presence on social media, you must make it a point to let people know you're present. If you have a website or any signage in your business, include social media handles. Do research to find the best #hashtags and engage with your followers by replying to comments or acknowledging them when they share your content.
